What are Albino Penis Envy (APE) Revert Mushrooms?
Albino Penis Envy Revert (APE Revert or APE-R) is a fascinating twist on the well-known Albino Penis Envy strain. Bred by Jake Oncid in 2019, this strain merges the best of both worlds, blending classic traits with novel variations. The “revert” in its name reflects a return to a prior phenotype, featuring distinctive changes in spore shape and color compared to the original APE.
APE Revert mushrooms can grow to substantial sizes and are distinguished by their rich blue caps. Unlike some strains that produce a large amount of spores, APE Revert is more reserved, releasing fewer spores that leave dark brown to purple prints rather than the pure albino prints typical of its ancestor.
